Efficient Communication for Territorial Communities and Regions supported by the USAID HOVERLA Activity

Tasks:

• To conduct a communication training for over 140 officials of local government and regional military administrations from 8 regions: Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Rivne, Sumy, Zakarpattia, and Zhytomyr regions.
• To conduct 162 online consultations on how to develop communication strategies and crisis response plans for communication teams of regional military administrations and partner communities of the USAID HOVERLA Activity.
  

Interim results as of October 2024:

• A study has been conducted to establish communication needs of the selected territorial communities and regional military administrations. Based on its findings, a training course has been developed covering the following topics:

1. to develop communication campaigns;
2. communication in social media and other digital channels;
3. how local government communication officers can apply artificial intelligence in their work;
4. crisis communication;
5. public speaking skills.

• A two-day communication training program for 143 officials of local government and regional military administrations has been held in Kyiv.
