Tasks: - To help Ukrainians recover from the mental trauma of war/
- To raise awareness among Ukrainians of what dog-assisted therapy is about and how specially trained therapy dogs can help people recover.
- To create awareness of the Royal Canin Foundation’s activities in Ukraine.
Solutions: - Opening four Dog-Assisted Therapy Centers in different regions of Ukraine.
- Launching a single website for all the centers and launching a digital campaign to promote the centers and highlight the role of the Royal Canin Foundation in the project.
Interim results as of October 2024: - Two of the four Dog-Assisted Therapy Centers have opened: in Kyiv and Rivne.
- Two more centers are getting ready to open: in Myrhorod and Chernivtsi.
- 2 398 Ukrainians have received psychological and emotional support, including 770 children and 492 servicemen.
- 2 414 sessions of dog-assisted therapy have been conducted, including 572 group sessions and 1 842 individual sessions.
- 388 901 residents of Rivne region (61% of the target audience) and 1 329 771 residents of Kyiv region (34% of the target audience) have been reached by the communication campaign about the centers’ activities.
