Period: 2023-2025 Project category: Communication campaigns Development of identity

Developing UAQA Information Website with Important Answers to Major Questions about the War and Ukraine for Ukrainians Abroad

Tasks:

  • To combat Russian propaganda in Western societies and shape reliable narratives about the Russian aggression against Ukraine.
  • To fill in the gaps in the information space of Poland, Czechia, Germany and other European countries regarding Ukraine and Russian aggression.
  • To provide a sense of support to initiative groups of Ukrainians and all Ukrainians in general who are currently abroad and whose hearts are hurting for Ukraine.

Solutions:

  1. Developing an information website for Ukrainians abroad on how to answer questions about what is happening in Ukraine and how to explain complex matters using simple words to Europeans they meet in everyday life. The website also has an option for putting questions and getting answers to them from project experts.
  2. Launching a communication campaign to popularize the website among Ukrainians living in Poland, Czechia, and Germany (the top 3 countries in terms of the number of Ukrainians staying there). The target audience of the campaign is Ukrainian women aged 18-64, who make up the “core” of Ukrainian refugees.

Interim results as of October 2024:

  • Nearly 1.2 million Ukrainian women living in Poland, Czechia, and Germany have been reached with information about the project, which makes 96% of the total number of Ukrainian women staying in these countries.
  • Over 115,000 people have visited the project’s website.
  • 96 questions and answers have been posted; 47 questions from website users have been received and processed.

Partners and beneficiaries:

The project has been created with the support from ISAR Ednannia within the framework of the Ukraine Civil Society Sectoral Support Activity, which is implemented by ISAR Ednannia in consortium with the Ukrainian Center for Independent Political Research (UCIPR) and the Center for Democracy and Rule of Law (CEDEM) with the generous support of the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
